ABOUT

I am a Ukrainian-born artist based in San Antonio, Texas, working primarily in oils.

I am drawn to dimension and its use in keeping the viewer's eye moving throughout a piece. I build surfaces through layering vibrant color, direct brush mark-making and using palette knives to create movement and texture. I also often incorporate sgraffito techniques to carve into the paint and reveal underlying structure.

Themes I'm exploring in my art practice:

  • Atmospheric Landscapes This body of work considers the intimate relationship between land and identity, exploring how place shapes memory, belonging, and personal experience.
  • Motherhood Following the birth of my son, questions of family, belonging, and transformation have begun to shape the direction of my practice. I am drawn to motherhood as a space of intimacy, transformation, and evolving identity.

Public Art Commissions:

  • Through indoor public art projects, I seek to contribute to and strengthen community by adding beauty to everyday life. My approach is rooted in translating lived experience and local landscape into work that feels both accessible and reflective. I am interested in how people relate to place - not only visually, but physically and emotionally.
