This painting was inspired by the cliffs encompassing the Devil's River State Natural Area. However, the piece primarily pays tribute to the cloudscape, shown through the intricate detail used to depict the minuscule array of clouds. My use of blue in the cliffs is a nod to the cloudscape. Similarly to how water takes on the color of the sky, so do the cliffs that surround the Devil's River. The greenery below is a testament to nature's resilience and beauty amidst chaos. The dark barren trees amidst the lush greenery add a stark contrast, symbolizing life's trials and tribulations. Each brush stroke is imbued with emotion, capturing the tumultuous yet harmonious dance between earth and sky.
